Back to School in Honey Brook PA

Can you believe it’s time for the kids to go back to school? Summer in Honey Brook, PA just flew by! This month, our storage specialists at Economy Self Storage want you and your kids to have the most successful school year possible. How can we help? By assisting you in organization, of course! Here are a list of things you can do, as well as local businesses you can utilize, to insure that everyone gets a fantastic start to the 2013-2014 school year.

1. Clean out their closets. Pull out anything they’ve outgrown and store it with us at Economy Self Storage for their younger siblings, or donate it to our Charity Storage program. When you donate items to our Charity Storage Unit, you will receive a tax deductible receipt. Then, when we hold a public auction the revenue attained from that unit is allocated to local and national charities. Cleaning out closets never felt so good!

2. Once you’ve cleaned out their closets, take a step back and survey what they’ve got. This will give you a better idea of what you need to purchase for their fall wardrobe. It will also give you (and them, if they’re old enough to help out) a chance to pair tops and bottoms together to create simple “go to” outfits for those chaotic Monday mornings. Watch for deals in the Tri County Record for back-to-school sales on clothing at any one of the many stores in our Honey Brook, PA community.

3. Obtain classroom supply lists. These are usually posted on school websites prior to the start of school, and they can usually be picked up at your local Walmart in the school supply section. Watch for items to go on sale, and take advantage of the bargain bins at places like Office Max, located at 101 Iron Lake Boulevard, Exton, PA 19341. Stock up on supplies for their backpack and for their desk at home. That way, they can’t use the “I don’t have ________ to do my homework” as an excuse!

4. Create a work station at home. This may be a desk for your child in their bedroom, or a portion of the living room; for every home it will look differently. The goal is to have a quiet area designated for creative thinking and hard work! Create a mini-storage system using a bookcase and some bins to store the supplies they’ll need to do their best work at home. If you’re in need in some affordable furniture to set up a work space, check out the Goodwill Store, located at 2846 Main St # 3A, Morgantown, PA 19543.
